OLAPLEX

Hairdressers and clientele,

This is by far the best hair technological advance I have seen yet! It is called Olaplex, and what it does is actually mend the bonds of your strands so that any damage that has been done in the past is repaired within. It doesn't coat the hair with protein, it actually REPAIRS it, which in my eyes is amazing! Guys, there's nothing else out there like it!

It's an add-on service that you can add to cut or color for an extra $25-$35 depending on your area. This is a very nice and inexpensive add-on that will do wonders for you and your client. And get this, you can actually color bleach over bleach with all the Olaplex solution. It gives you that extra insurance when you need to lift your clients another couple of levels with out damage. I know, crazy right?! For once the color can be regulated without fear.

This is a two-step process and ONLY takes an extra 10 minutes!!

The first step is to mix your color or bleach lightner as usual. The second step is to add and 1/8 of an ounce of all the Olaplex solution. Just make sure to bump up your developer if you are using bleach. For example: if you are using 20
volume developer bump it up to 30 because it weakens the potency of the developer. Do not worry if you are using color, the developer can stay the same.

Process as usual and rinse color or highlights out but do not shampoo yet. Use the Olaplex 2 and comb through the hair and process for 10 minutes at minimum.

Next shampoo and condition as usual.
And that's it, super easy!! You may offer your clients Olaplex 3 mask to take home and use once a week in between treatments. This is like a mask but is very thin to the touch and is not like the consistency you would think a hair conditioner would be. It is not necessary but recommended.

If you are not using color or lightner and just want to help a client repair damage there are directions in the box that you can mix the solution 1 with water and put all over the hair.

My advice is that if you are a hairdresser have this ready and available at all times. And if you are a client and need some repair ask for this add-on service and it will be the best $30 you have ever spent.

Spring initial wreath

Today I made a wreath for under $10!! I purchased 3 bundles of flowers on sale for one dollar at Michaels, the J for $1 and the wreath for $5.99. I had the burlap and Paint at home so i guess it would have been a few more dollars when you put all of that together but all in all, a cheap, fun and super easy project! I had planned on it for spring but decided it's perfect for summer as well.
