Cotton Candy Grapes!

Ok! Cotton candy grapes- my life is over! These are as amazing as they sound!

They are actually infused with flavoring during the growing process. I had to share these because even though it's not a hair style, a craft or new tasty meal, these grapes are a delicious, sweet and healthy little snack that is perfect for anytime of the day! I got them at Sprouts today and I'm going back for more ASAP!

Canvas art

I had a canvas lying around the house, some craft paint and glitter. Decided I wanted to paint, so I started with my background, found a cute quote that meant something to our family and made some art! The only thing I didn't have was a paint pen so I spent $4 on a gold paint pen. That was the only thing I had to buy that I didn't have so it was an easy, fun & cheap craft!

Chicken, rice and black bean casserole

I have been really into creating my own casseroles lately. A casserole makes it so easy because you can keep it warm in the oven and it will taste delicious and not get dry.

This is the first one I made up. I started with chicken, cut it up and sautéed it over the stove top. And then I chose a Rice-A-Roni flavor, cream of chicken & mixed it together in a casserole dish. Topped it with tortilla chips, shredded cheese and baked at 350° For 15 minutes.

It turned out amazing and my whole family loved it!

You will need:
-3 to 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
-One box of black bean or Mexican style Rice-A-Roni
-1cup crushed tortilla chips or strips
-one cup of shredded cheese

Cooking instructions:
Cook chicken in a skillet with taco seasoning. Add cream of chicken after the chicken is cooked. Next, in a separate pan, cook Rice-A-Roni as instructed on box. One done, put everything in a casserole dish, top with crushed tortilla chips and shredded cheese and bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
You can add corn or more black beans to this dish too.

Great place for stuffed animals

This is a great idea to get those stuffed animals you or your child can't part with up and off of the floor! I love it because it got a bunch of clutter out of the way but still looks pretty hanging from the ceiling.

What you'll need:

6-7 feet of Chain-link from Home Depot or Lowe's. (I used the white because I thought it looked nicer than the silver)

Next I ordered hooks off of Amazon but I'm sure you can get those at Home Depot too.

Butterfly hooks & screws to go into the ceiling. I would recommend using two or three or weight control.

I'm not sure how much weight this can hold but I wouldn't overfill it with too many stuffed animals. There is around 30 on ours but a lot of them are small.

Cute and creative way to be asked to be a bridesmaid

I received this precious little box in the mail. I opened it up to find sand and a small shell wrapped with beautiful bow. I pulled the scroll out. It read, "I couldn't say "I do" without you, Kendyl. Will you be my maid of honor?"
 love Amanda.

It was the the best and most creative way I was ever asked to be in a wedding and I'm so honored to be a part of my sisters very special day! They're getting married in October 2014 in Cancun and we are counting down the days! I'm so lucky and blessed to be such a big part of this and I'm so happy for Amanda & Kevin!

I wish I would've done something like this for my bridesmaids! Its so original and makes the wedding party feel so special. I know I do! :)

Vegas or bust!

We went to Vegas for our friend Jaises 30th birthday and I just thought I'd share a few pictures. We had an amazing time!

Camille and I just starting in on the fun!

The birthday boy, Jaise and Erica getting cozy with Edward Scissorhands! He was the best Edward Scissorhands I have ever seen!

All of my beautiful friends and my lovely husband photo bombing us hehehe!

Erica and I at Fremont Street.... We saw some crazies that night for sure!

Patrick, Bradley and Jaise the last night we were there. I think something was in those margaritas!!

What a fun trip! I'm so lucky to have such amazing friends!

NYX lip gloss is AMAZ! NO JOKE

Ok, has anyone ever tried this?! I was strolling along in Ulta, promising my four-year-old daughter I would buy her some new lipgloss and I came across this NYX brand and in a three pack for $5. I've never heard of this brand but I thought it was a really good price for three lipgloss tubes, so I got it!

I'm in my car and I bust open the packaging. I decide to try out the nude, pinkish color.... to my surprise I LOVE IT! SERIOUSLY! This. lipgloss. is. amazing. How could that be? I spend a fortune on make up and especially on lipgloss! I normally go for any kind of Mac, bare essentials or urban decay as far as anything for my kisser goes. The prices vary from $15-$20 but if I'm shopping at Mac I get my pro discount because I have my full cosmetology license so it's about 30-40% less, but come on, nothing beats this NYX price! Not even with my pro discount!

It's called butter gloss and let me tell you, it feels like soft butter on your lips for real! It doesn't get all funky and leave that nasty lip gloss line or feel too thick like when you move your lips together and can't hardly move them back-and-forth. It's just the perfect consistency and the colors are out of this world! I am so pleased with this product I had to share and the best part about it is the price!

Go out and buy this NYX butter gloss and you'll see what I'm talking about.

And furthermore, I had to go back and get my daughter a new pack of lip gloss because I am obsessed!

Please feel free to comment on the results :)

Wonderful children's book

I came across this book at the bookstore and it was so inspiring. The title is, Susan Laughs. It's a great book for children and teaches kids that everybody is different and special in their own way. The book starts out to say, Susan laughs, Susan smiles, Susan swings, Susan slides, Susan plays, Susan feels, and then it goes on to say, "Susan's busy every day, her legs don't work, but that's okay." I was not expecting that! And as soon as I read it, my eyes began to well up & it melted my heart.

I'm reminded to teach my daughters and make them realize the importance of compassion and love but mostly, to be kind to everybody no matter what their circumstance is. I also want my oldest, Kynlie to understand that it's okay that people are different and they can still do a lot of fun things and have a happy life. I want my daughters to grow up and be good people. Kind and sweet girls with good morals and a strong faith. Isn't that what we all want for our children? I strongly believe that even with all the technology in this world it's still so important to sit down every day and read a book with them. Especially a book that has such a simple but strong meaning!

LATISSE

So I need to tell anybody and everybody about how amazing Latisse is! It truly works. I have blue eyes with light eyebrows and eyelashes and in the three weeks that I have been using Latisse, I have noticed a major change in my lash growth!!

For the first couple weeks I used it every night before bed but since then I use it every other day. My eyelashes are fuller and longer. I was skeptical at first and scared to use it because I heard it can turn your blue eyes brown but when I spoke to my dermatologist, she informed me that was very uncommon and only happened to one of the study cases. It's just something they have to report for their legal protection. After I got all the right information, I bought it from my dermatologist office that day. I would recommend getting it from a reputable  doctors office so that you know you're getting the right product. I've seen it sold online but I'm not going to take any chances when it comes to my eyes!

To use this product is very simple. I squirt one drop into the cap. Then I use the applicator brush, dip it in and I swipe along where my lashes meet the skin on the top of my eyelids. And that's it! Pretty easy huh?!

I wish I would've done the before-and-after picture but I will show how my lashes look at this point and then I'll blog in a few more weeks and see if they've grown any longer or fuller.
